Description
Fort Durnford Museum Estcourt has a rich history of British, Zulu and Afrikaner heritage. Built on the hill of Bushman’s River drift, in 1874 the fort served as a lookout tower and military stronghold for the town.
The stone-built Museum features historic South African artifacts some items dating back as far as the Iron and Stone Age plus a collection of fossils.
