Toptots Hilton has been running since July 2010 by Ashleigh Thompson, a qualified teacher who has experienced the benefits of Toptots with each of her three daughters who are now seven, ten and twelve. Ashleigh regularly speaks at ante and postnatal classes in Pietermaritzburg. She is passionate about the importance of early childhood development and keeps learning more through extensive reading and hands on experience in class.
Studies have shown that over 80% of a child’s brain development has taken place by the age of two, which makes parents their child’s first teacher. She believes that understanding children’s learning potential and knowing how to “play with purpose” makes for better, more confident parents. Serious stuff, but it all happens in the FUN of a Toptots class!
